HIS has announced additional details regarding the “Kyushu Recovery Support Discount” travel assistance program on a special website.
Of the two prefectures—Oita and Kagoshima—for which implementation had been undecided, discount coupons for Oita will be distributed starting at 12:00 p.m. on October 9. The discount rate is up to 50 percent, and reservations can be made online only.
The eligible stay period is from October 1 to December 25. Eligible services include domestic tours (airfare + lodging) and overnight bus tours; the maximum discount is 20,000 yen per person per night per reservation, or up to 30,000 yen for stays of two nights or more.
