Hokkaido is all about Kyun-chan! There are plenty of campaigns where you can win original merchandise and hotel vouchers.

Posted on September 27, 2026 by Editor in Chief

“Tourism EXPO Japan 2026,” one of the world’s largest travel events, is being held at Tokyo Big Sight for four days, from September 24 to 27.

At the booths of the Hokkaido Tourism Organization, Hokkaido Railway Company, Hokkaido Airport, and the Ainu Cultural Heritage Foundation, a 3D monument of “Kyun-chan,” Hokkaido’s tourism promotional mascot, made its debut.

In addition, we’re running a campaign where if you follow the official Kyun-chan account and post a photo taken at the Hokkaido booth—meeting the requirements such as using the hashtag and tagging the account—you’ll be entered into a drawing to win prizes like a pair of hotel vouchers or a Hokkaido gourmet gift catalog. Don’t forget to show the post screen to a staff member to receive a “Shrimp Salt Pretzel.” Plus, if you follow the official Hokkaido tourism information site on Instagram, you’ll receive some gummy candies.

Those who register via LINE will also be entered into a raffle to win Kyun-chan merchandise, such as tote bags and snacks. In addition, participants in the bingo rally—which involves visiting various booths—will receive snacks when they complete a bingo card.

If you’d like more Kyun-chan merchandise, head to the Kyun-chan merchandise section inside the booth. You can purchase plush toys, stationery, and more.

In addition, the bar will host tasting events featuring Hokkaido wines, sake, and other beverages.
