The talking Tunk-Tunk from the Prime Minister’s Official Residence is making its first trip to Tokyo Big Sight! Come meet him at “Tourism EXPO Japan 2026” on the 26th and 27th.

“Tourism EXPO Japan 2026,” one of the world’s largest travel events, is being held at Tokyo Big Sight for four days, from September 24 to 27.

In the Domestic and Kanto Area of East Hall 7, there will be a booth showcasing the highlights of the 2027 International Horticultural Exposition, “GREEN×EXPO 2027,” which is set to open in six months. The main attraction is the exhibition of the “Talking Tunk-Tunk,” which has been specially relocated from the Prime Minister’s Official Residence.

Stand in front of “Tunk Tunk,” the official mascot of the Horticultural Expo, and try saying things like, “Hello!”, “Why did you come to Earth?”, “What is the Yokohama Green Expo?”, or “How do you like my outfit today?”—and Tunk Tunk will respond.

To experience “Chatty Tunk-Tunk,” you must obtain a numbered ticket, which will be distributed at the Horticultural Expo booth on the day of the event. The distribution times are scheduled for the 26th at (1) 1:00 p.m. and (2) 3:30 p.m., and for the 27th at (1) 10:30 a.m., (2) 1:00 p.m., and (3) 3:30 p.m.

Also, on the morning of the 26th, the Tunk Tunk mascot will be visiting the Horticultural Expo booth. Since the greeting is scheduled for “sometime in the morning,” you’ll be lucky if you get to see him. Why not stop by and check it out?
