On September 18, Doshisha will release “Gorilla’s Hokaron,” a collaboration between Renfro Japan—which markets “Hokaron” brand socks—and its “Wearable Hokaron” and “Gorilla Series” lines. The product will be available at the official online store “Doshisha Marche” and at mass retailers nationwide.
This product combines the cozy warmth of Hokaron foot warmers with the refreshing elements of the Gorilla series. In addition to the faux fur fabric gently warming your feet, the plush looped sections separate and spread out your toes—which tend to bunch up in shoes and heels—reducing discomfort between the toes and providing a sense of freedom.
The socks come in two lengths: crew length and knee-high. The knee-high style is available in two versions: with compression and without compression. The lineup consists of a total of eight items: the crew-length socks come in four colors—mint, pink, red, and charcoal (Lawson exclusive)—the knee-high socks come in two colors—pink and gray—and the compression knee-high socks come in two colors—sax and white.
The soles of the shoes feature the Hokaron logo, and the right shoe has a gorilla patch on the little toe side. In addition, the packaging features an illustration of a gorilla spreading its toes, as well as a logo design that represents the collaboration with Hokaron—a gorilla-inspired version of the familiar character riding a magic carpet.
