“Kagoshima Tourism Support Discount,” offering up to 60% off accommodations in Kagoshima Prefecture, begins accepting reservations today. This is a separate travel support program from the Kyushu Recovery Support Discount.

Posted on September 30, 2026 by Editor in Chief

Kagoshima Prefecture will implement its own travel support program, the “Kagoshima Tourism Support Discount.” The program applies to stays from September 14 through October 13.

This initiative, which is separate from the “Kyushu Recovery Support Discount” program set to begin in October, provides a subsidy covering up to 60 percent of lodging fees at eligible facilities within the prefecture. The maximum discount per reservation is 20,000 yen per person.

Eligible booking methods include direct bookings with accommodations, as well as bookings made through travel agencies or OTAs (online travel agencies). However, bookings made on or before September 13 are not eligible, and the campaign will end once the budget limit is reached.

For details on the campaign, please visit the “Kagoshima Tourism Support Discount” special website.
