Shimonoseki City Launches “Shimonoseki Accommodation Support Campaign” on September 1, Offering a 2,000-Yen Discount on Accommodations Plus 1,000 Yen in Local Coupons

Posted on August 25, 2026 by Editor in Chief

Shimonoseki City, Yamaguchi Prefecture, will launch the “Shimonoseki Accommodation Support Campaign” starting with stays on or after September 1.

This campaign offers a 2,000-yen discount per person on accommodations at participating hotels and hot spring inns within the city at the time of booking, as well as a 1,000-yen “Oto Coupon” per person that can be used at local restaurants and souvenir shops. The discount applies to direct bookings with the inns as well as reservations made through OTA sites (Agoda, Jalan, and Rakuten Travel).

The eligible stay period is from September 1 to December 25. To qualify, the check-in date must not be a Saturday or the day before a national holiday, and the reservation must be for a total amount of at least 6,000 yen per person before the discount is applied. Please note that the number of available spots varies by accommodation provider and OTA, and the campaign will end once the budget limit is reached.
