Sado Kisen Kaisha has launched the “Sado Long Stay Ticket,” offering a discount on round-trip Jetfoil fares on the Niigata route. The offer is valid from June 1 to February 28, 2027.

The program is designed for long-term stays on Sado Island for camping and activities, as well as for returning home and working vacations. The conditions of application are to stay on Sado Island for a minimum of 4 nights and a maximum of 9 nights, and to use the Jetfoil on the Niigata route for both the round trip and return trip. Advance reservations must be made online at least 30 minutes prior to departure, starting from the same day two months prior to departure.

Fares vary depending on the month of embarkation. For embarkation between June 1 and 30, the fare is 19,110 yen for adults and 5,950 yen for children. Fares for outbound travel in June and return travel in July are 11,190 yen for adults and 6090 yen for children, and 11,470 yen for adults and 6230 yen for children for travel between July 1 and September 30. Fares for outbound travel in September and return travel in October, and fares for October and beyond, will be announced on the official website as soon as the fuel oil price adjustment is determined.

The package also includes a coupon worth 1,000 yen that can be used at designated accommodations, tourist facilities, souvenir stores, etc. on the island as a bonus. This project is funded by the Japanese government’s Grant for the Maintenance and Promotion of Regional Society of Specified inhabited Remote Border Islands.
