Posted on February 5, 2026 by Editor in Chief

The Secretariat of the Headquarters for International Expositions, Cabinet Secretariat, will hold the “Osaka-Kansai Expo Memorial Caravan: Expo ’70 to the Future” from February 19. Beginning with the Tokyo venue, the event will travel to Fukuoka, Sapporo, and Sendai, with admission free of charge.

The event will include a meet-and-greet by Myakmyak, the official character of the Expo, and Tunktunku, the official character of GREEN x EXPO 2027, which will be held in Yokohama in 2027. Applications for participation will begin at 10:00 a.m. on February 6. Applications for all four venues will be accepted simultaneously on the dedicated website, and in the event that there are too many applications, the participants will be selected by lottery.

The Expo ’70 Mirai ni Tsunagu Exhibition is a project to let those who were unable to visit the Osaka-Kansai Expo experience the charms of the event through a variety of contents, and to let those who did visit relive the excitement of the event.

At the venue, there will be a “EXPO 2025 360° Theater,” a VR video experience of the inside of the Osaka/Kansai Expo pavilion, the “Myakmyak House,” which was well received at the Expo, a model exhibition of the large roof ring, and an official pop-up store for the Osaka/Kansai Expo 2025 to sell officially licensed products. The store will also sell officially licensed products.

In addition, visitors can enjoy the “Photo Exhibition – 184 Days in the Making” and the “World Myakmyak Exhibition” featuring approximately 100 uniquely arranged Myakmyak figures.

The schedule is as follows. For details, please check the official page.
