Tokyo Disneyland will open “Sugar Rush: Sweet Rescue,” a new attraction in Tomorrowland, on April 15, 2027. The opening coincides with the park’s 44th anniversary.
This attraction is based on the movie *Wreck-It Ralph*, and the story follows the characters as they thwart the Candy King’s plot to conquer the world of video games.
The guest enters the game world of “Sugar Rush,” a racing game set in Candyland, to restore the “Sugar Bugs”—which have been programmed to devour the entire world—to their original, cute candy forms.
Composer Henry Jackman, who also composed the music for the movie, is responsible for the sound in the attraction. Newly recorded tracks enhance the sense of immersion in the game’s world.
Guests board a vehicle and use the onboard devices. If they succeed in restoring the “Sugar Bugs” to their original forms, points are added to their score, which they can view on the display. Additionally, photos taken during the experience are automatically saved to the “My Photos” section of the app, where they can be purchased.
