JR East Cross Station Development Company will release a total of nine new “Suica Penguin” merchandise items on October 30. They will be available for purchase sequentially starting around 12:00 p.m. that day on “GRANSTA MALL,” the e-commerce site operated by the company.
The “Penguin Years” collection, launched to mark the Suica penguin’s retirement, features three items inspired by the campaign’s key visual: T-shirts, clear file folders, and stickers.
The “ARIGATO Suica 25” collection, created to celebrate Suica’s 25th anniversary, features a lineup of six items, including a drawstring pouch featuring the character’s sun-kissed look—which is hugely popular among fans—waterproof stickers, and an oval tin (omurice) created in collaboration with the long-established Italian chocolate brand “Caffarel.”
Although it is currently available only online, the company says it may be offered for sale at future “Suica Penguin” merchandise events.
