“Comfort Hotel ERA Kanazawa Higashiguchi” to Open on January 25, 2027. Located a 4-minute walk from the station, it features 107 rooms and a breakfast buffet featuring dishes from the Kaga and Noto regions.

Choice Hotels Japan will open the “Comfort Hotel ERA Kanazawa Higashiguchi” (8-8 Konohana-cho, Kanazawa City, Ishikawa Prefecture) on January 25, 2027. Reservations have been accepted since October 19 on the hotel’s official website and various online booking sites.

This is the second Comfort Hotel ERA property—a newly built, 10-story hotel located a 4-minute walk from JR Kanazawa Station. It offers easy access to tourist attractions such as Kenroku-en Garden, Kanazawa Jo Park, Omi-cho Market, and Higashi Chaya District.

The hotel has a total of 107 guest rooms, including 49 Queen Economy rooms, 32 King Standard rooms, 24 Twin Standard rooms, and 2 Universal rooms. All rooms are equipped with a sofa. The Queen Economy rooms feature wall designs that evoke the flow of water through the streets of Kanazawa; the King Standard rooms feature designs inspired by Kenroku-en Garden; and the Twin Standard rooms feature wall designs inspired by the earthen walls and cobblestone streets of the Nagamachi Samurai Residences.

In addition to incorporating elements of Kanazawa’s traditional culture throughout the space—such as head cushions inspired by the “Awaji knot” of Kaga mizuhiki—the facility also offers a selection of beauty-focused items, including bedding designed to help guests recover from the fatigue of travel, ultra-fine bubble showerheads, and hair dryers that are gentle on the hair.

The “Comfort Library Cafe,” which guests can use free of charge, features a collection of books on Kanazawa’s culture and travel. The space is furnished with bookshelves featuring vertical slats inspired by the latticework of Higashi Chaya District, as well as furniture accented with gold details reminiscent of Kanazawa gold leaf. The walls are adorned with original artwork featuring motifs from traditional crafts such as Kaga Yuzen and Kutani ware, as well as Kenroku-en Garden, making it a popular photo spot. Depending on the time of day, the cafe also offers desserts and alcoholic beverages (for a fee).

The breakfast buffet, themed “A Kanazawa Breakfast Featuring Kaga and Noto’s Jiwamon,” offers a selection of dishes that incorporate local flavors and ingredients, such as “Kaga lotus root and Noto beef minced meat over rice” and “Metta-jiru.”
