Two “Sumikko Gurashi Rooms” Open at a Hotel Adjacent to Fuji-Q Highland. Complete the “Find Tapioka” mission to receive a limited-edition key card.

Highland Resort Hotel & Spa, part of the Fuji-Q Group, will open two “Sumikko Gurashi Rooms” on November 28. Ahead of that, reservations will open on the official website starting at 12:00 p.m. on October 28.

This guest room—Japan’s first permanent character-themed room—is located adjacent to Fuji-Q Highland, where “San-X Paradise” opened in August. After enjoying the attractions at the park, guests can continue to be surrounded by their favorite characters at the hotel, where they can take photos and enjoy the interactive features in the room.

This time, there are two room types available: “Sleepover Room with the Sumikko Gang” and “Room to Hunt for Tapioca with the Sumikko Gang.” Each room is equipped with three beds and can accommodate 1 to 4 guests. Room rates start at 86,000 yen and vary depending on the dates and number of guests.

The rooms for the sleepover event feature a space inspired by “Café Sumikko,” a raised seating area, and photo spots. Upon check-in, guests receive a “Reserve This Spot” sign along with their room key at the front desk, allowing them to relax as they please in their favorite “corner.”

In the “Find the Tapioka” room, guests can take on a mission to find “tapioka” hidden in various spots throughout the room—such as on bookshelves, in drawers, and behind doors. Upon completing the mission, guests will receive a replica of the room’s exclusive key card at checkout, and both rooms feature limited-edition, original amenities.
