The global flagship store “UNIQLO Kyoto” in Kawaramachi, Kyoto, will reopen on November 6. It will feature exclusive Liberty of London items and embroidery inspired by Kyoto.

On November 6, UNIQLO will reopen its global flagship store, “UNIQLO Kyoto” (58 Daikoku-cho, Kawaramachi-dori Sanjo-sagaru, Nakagyo-ku, Kyoto City, Kyoto Prefecture; B1–3F, Mina Kyoto).

Spanning four floors—from the first basement level to the third floor—the store has a sales area of approximately 960 tsubo. The first floor features “UNIQLO FLOWER,” “UNIQLO COFFEE,” and in-store pickup lockers, while the first basement level focuses on men’s apparel and the second floor on women’s apparel. The third floor brings together men’s, women’s, kids’, and baby sections, as well as a variety of services.

The store’s regular hours are 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Immediately after opening, from November 6 through 8, the store will open at 10:00 a.m. for three days only.

To celebrate the grand opening, the store will be offering a limited-edition collection in collaboration with the British design house “LIBERTY LONDON,” as well as fleece items in colors exclusive to this store.

The “LIBERTY LONDON” limited-edition collection offers a modern reinterpretation of Kyoto’s dyeing and weaving culture. Under the theme “Kyoto in Bloom,” it features the “HEATTECH Turtleneck T-shirt (WOMEN)” in six colors, capturing the beauty of Kyoto in full bloom. The price is 1,990 yen, and sizes range from S to XL. XS, XXL, and 3XL are available exclusively at the UNIQLO Online Store.

In addition, fleece items in colors exclusive to “UNIQLO Kyoto” will be available. The “Fleece Jacket (MEN)” comes in two colors—yellow and dark brown—while the “Furry Fleece Full-Zip Jacket (WOMEN)” is available in four colors: light purple, wine, light green, and navy. Including these six limited-edition colors, the fleece collection will be available in a total of 30 colors. The limited-edition colors will be sold both in stores and on the UNIQLO Online Store.

Inside the store, we’re also focusing on creating a space where customers can experience Kyoto’s unique traditions and culture. The first-floor windows feature an installation inspired by Kyoto’s lattice doors. Combined with lighting effects using dimmable film, the display showcases the appeal of LifeWear’s wide range of colors. The space also features original Kyoto-style paper lanterns crafted by Kojima Shoten, as well as decorations by Ryo Shinagawa, a painter based in Kyoto.

On the 3rd floor, at “RE.UNIQLO STUDIO,” the store offers original embroidery exclusive to this location, featuring designs inspired by five companies and organizations with ties to Kyoto. Designs are available featuring “Minamina,” the mascot of Kyoto’s Minami-za Theater; “Yojiko” from the Yojiya Group; “Randen,” operated by Keifuku Electric Railway; Yasaka Taxi; and “Otabe” and “Kyobaamu” from Biju. In addition, the store will feature “UTme!,” where customers can enjoy collaboration products with ties to Kyoto, and the Fast Retailing Group’s “PLST” will also have a store there.

In addition, as part of an effort to promote the area’s appeal, we will distribute a guide map created in collaboration with the Kyoto Shimbun. The map introduces popular local spots in the Kawaramachi area—such as restaurants, parks, and art museums—and is printed in both Japanese and English.
