Suica Penguin: Popular Merchandise Makes a Comeback. Pre-sales for mascots, beanbag stuffed animals, and more begin today.

JR East Trading will re-release the top three products from the “Suica Penguin Goods \ Reissue / Support Vote” held in May at “TRAINIART,” a specialty store for railway merchandise. Pre-sales for vote participants will begin on October 9, and general sales will start on October 16.

A total of 10,865 votes were cast in the “Bring It Back” poll held in May, with the top three products each receiving approximately 2,500 votes. We will be bringing these three products back this time.

The “Suica Penguin Shaking Hug Mascot” (3,300 yen) is a plush toy set featuring the Suica Penguin and a baby penguin, complete with a special mechanism: when pulled apart, they shake and reach out to each other, eventually hugging.

The “Suica Penguin Beanbag Plush (Station Master × E5)” (2,200 yen) is a soft, fluffy plush toy that fits in the palm of your hand, featuring a beanbag-sized replica of the Station Master Penguin and the E5 Series Shinkansen.

The “Suica Penguin Plush Toy, XL Size” (27,500 yen) is the largest Suica Penguin plush toy sold by TRAINIART and can be used as a body pillow or home decor.

The pre-sale will run from October 9 to 15. It is open to friends of the official TRAINIART LINE account who participated in the May re-release support vote; details on how to purchase will be provided via the official LINE account.

General sales begin on October 16. Products will be available at TRAINIART locations, the JRE MALL store, as well as BOOK COMPASS, BOOK EXPRESS, EKi RESQ, TOKYO!!!, GENERAL STORE RAILYARD, and other retailers. Product availability may vary by store. Sales at the JRE MALL store will begin at 10:00 a.m.

In addition, it has been announced that the Suica Penguin will “graduate” at the end of fiscal year 2026, and TRAINIART has launched a special website titled “Suica Penguin Graduation.” The site features past merchandise, nostalgic comments, and special projects leading up to the graduation.
