As the second installment of the “PEANUTS in NYC—The City Has It All!” campaign currently underway at PLAZA stores nationwide, PLAZA will release a PLAZA-exclusive apparel and accessories collection featuring the New York Yankees and New York Mets of Major League Baseball on October 13.
Based on the “Subway Series”—the traditional rivalry between the two New York-based teams—the collection features items depicting Snoopy and his Peanuts friends enjoying baseball.
The featured sweatshirts come in three designs: one that incorporates both teams’ colors, logos, and original artwork on the sleeves and hem; another inspired by the player-created burgers—a Yankee Stadium staple; and a third featuring the “Home Run Apple,” which appears whenever a home run is hit at the Mets’ home stadium, Citi Field.
In addition, the collection features a jacquard cardigan with a large Snoopy and team logo on the back, loungewear combining pretzel motifs with artwork from both teams, and a drawstring pouch featuring an embroidered design of friends enjoying a game of baseball.
In addition to the collaboration items, the store will also carry a selection of accessories for the fall and winter seasons, such as gloves and socks.
