The “Uzushio Kaido” Project Promotion Council—a joint initiative involving restaurants and lodging facilities in Minami-Awaji City, Hyogo Prefecture, and Naruto City, Tokushima Prefecture—is running a travel campaign that allows visitors to tour the area at great value while enjoying the local cuisine of both cities. The campaign runs through February 28, 2027.
During the campaign period, the dedicated website will offer a 25% discount on lodging fees (up to 10,000 yen off), a 1,000-yen discount coupon for “Uzu no Sachi Gourmet” featuring local specialties unique to both cities, and a 200-yen discount coupon for “Cup-in Gourmet” meals that are easy to enjoy. Coupons are limited to one per person (per device), and they will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.
“Uzuno-Sachi Gourmet” refers to local cuisine that features at least one type of seasonal seafood caught in the waters near the “Naruto Strait”—which connects Naruto City and Minami-Awaji City—as well as at least one specialty product from each city. Meanwhile, “Cup-in Gourmet” refers to takeout menu items featuring local ingredients served in cups. Coupons can be used at more than 30 participating locations across the two cities.
Dining coupons are applied at the time of payment in-store, while lodging coupons are applied when making an online reservation and prepaying through the “Be.” hotel reservation system, or when making a reservation on the hotel’s official website and paying on-site (lodging reservations made through other sites, such as Rakuten Travel or Jalan, are not eligible).
Participating accommodations include hotels with views of the Naruto Strait, hot spring inns, and glamping facilities, as well as restaurants serving “Uzu no Sachi” cuisine.
