Universal Studios Japan will begin rolling out collaboration merchandise featuring “Myaku Myaku,” the official mascot of the Osaka-Kansai Expo, and “Hamikuma,” a popular character from its fall event “Halloween Horror Night,” starting October 13. I went to the park to check out the actual products, so I’ll introduce them here along with some exclusive photos.
In addition to the mascot keychains and sticker sets we announced earlier, we’re offering a total of 13 items, including apparel such as T-shirts, hoodies, and bandanas; pair charms that can be attached to umbrellas and pens as markers; and keychains that make perfect souvenirs.
The reporter’s top pick is the pass case with a reel and pin-badge-style decoration (2,500 yen). On the back (the side where you insert cards), there are cute illustrations of Hamikuma and Myaku Myaku seen from behind.
Also, the pouch featuring Hamikuma and Myaku Myaku on a march (3,200 yen) is a convenient size for everyday use, so we highly recommend considering it as well.
