Traffic restrictions for the “Naniwa Yodogawa Fireworks Festival” will begin around 4:00 p.m. Be aware of road closures and traffic congestion around Juso and Tsukamoto Stations and the Umekita area.

The Naniwa Yodogawa Fireworks Festival Organizing Committee and the Osaka Prefectural Police will implement traffic restrictions from around 4:00 p.m. to around 11:00 p.m. (with some restrictions beginning at 1:00 p.m.) on October 17 in conjunction with the “38th Naniwa Yodogawa Fireworks Festival.”

Roads surrounding the Yodo River floodplain and the areas near Juso Station and Tsukamoto Station will be closed to vehicular traffic, while lane restrictions will be in effect in the Umekita area (Umeda Sky Building, Grand Front Osaka) and on the Yodo River Bridge and Juso Bypass (Shin-Juso Bridge).

Northbound traffic on the Jūsō Bridge will be closed to vehicles starting around 5:30 p.m., and the bridge will be open to pedestrians; however, spectators will not be allowed to stop and watch the fireworks. Drivers are advised to take the Jūsō Bypass as a detour while the northbound lane is closed.

In addition, since traffic congestion is expected on National Routes 2 and 176, as well as on Yodogawa Street, authorities are asking drivers to take alternative routes.
