Tochigi Prefecture will launch the “Tochigi Travel: Winter Weekday Stay Campaign 2026–2027,” a measure designed to stimulate travel demand.
A total of 360 winners will be selected by lottery from among those who stay at a ryokan or hotel in the prefecture and submit an entry via the form on the special website. Prizes include accommodation coupons worth up to 100,000 yen for a future trip to Tochigi Prefecture, Tochigi Wagyu beef, and assorted Tochigi specialty sweets. The eligible stay period is from December 1 to February 26, 2027 (provided that either the check-in or check-out date falls on a weekday; stays from December 26 to January 3 and on January 10 are not eligible). The odds of winning increase for stays of two or more consecutive nights.
In addition, in conjunction with the campaign, “JTB” and “Jalan” will begin distributing OTA accommodation discount coupons on October 15, offering a 1,000-yen discount on stays during the eligible period. These coupons can be used for reservations of 6,000 yen or more per night.
