Workman Introduces “XShelter Sigma,” a Single Layer That Protects Against Both Extreme Cold and Heat. A New Series of “Wearable Insulation” Designed for Temperatures Ranging from 5 to 30°C

On September 8, WORKMAN held its WORKMAN Fall/Winter 2026 New Product Launch Event at the Tokyo International Forum, where it unveiled the “XShelter Comfort Insulation Σ (Sigma),” a new addition to the “XShelter” series featuring the company’s original insulating material.

XShelter is an original line of high-performance clothing designed to protect against both extreme cold and heat with a single layer. The line consists of three main types: “XShelter Thermal Insulation α and β,” used in cold-weather apparel for fall and winter; “XShelter Heat Protection α, β, and Ω,” used in heat- and UV-protective apparel for spring and summer; and “XShelter Ultra-Breathable,” used in waterproof rainwear and other items sold year-round.

This season, in addition to the “XShelter Thermal Insulation α and β” cold-weather gear for fall and winter, we’re introducing the “XShelter Comfort Thermal Insulation Σ,” an all-weather garment designed to be worn year-round, and the “XShelter Thermal Insulation Ω,” which combines two different types of specialized insulating materials.

At the presentation on the 8th, the company showcased select products from the Insulation α and β lines, as well as the entire Comfort Insulation Σ lineup. Details regarding Insulation Ω are scheduled to be released in October or later.
