The platform level of the Kanagawa Prefecture Station (tentative name) on the Chuo Maglev Line is being opened to the public for the first time. Ticket sales for the “Sagamihara Maglev Festa 2026” have begun.

JR Central will hold the “Sagamihara Linear Festa 2026” from October 24 to 25, from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

This event, located a 3-minute walk from JR/Keio Hashimoto Station, offers a chance to see the progress of construction on the new “Kanagawa Prefecture Station (tentative name)” for the Chuo Maglev Line. For the first time, a portion of the track level—which is on the third basement floor and will house the main line, siding, and platforms of the Chuo Maglev Line—will be open to the public.

In addition, there will be live music performances by artists on a special stage set up within the underground construction site, performances by local groups on the ground-level stage, and food and beverage sales by local food trucks at the food and beverage booths.

An admission ticket is required to attend this event. In addition, a separate track-level tour ticket is required to tour the track level. Please note that if there are more applicants than available spots for the track-level tour, selection will be made by lottery. The application period runs from 3:00 p.m. on September 28 to 11:59 p.m. on October 13.
