The “TOFROM YAESU” redevelopment project, led by Tokyo Tatemono and other participating organizations, will open the “TOFROM YAESU TOWER” on September 10.
“TOFROM YAESU TOWER” is a large-scale mixed-use building directly connected to Tokyo Station, featuring 51 above-ground floors and 4 underground floors, with a height of approximately 250 meters. The commercial zone in the lower floors, “TOFROM YAESU Shop & Restaurant,” is set to house 68 stores, primarily featuring restaurants that originated in Tokyo. Ahead of the grand opening, a press preview was held, so I took the opportunity to visit all the stores set to open on the 10th.
The commercial zone of “TOFROM YAESU” consists of “TOFROM YAESU THE FRONT” (basement through 2nd floor) and “TOFROM YAESU TOWER” (basement through 4th floor), with a total area of approximately 6,000 m². As of September 10, 55 stores had opened within “TOFROM YAESU TOWER.” Based on the concept of “Connecting Individuality, Giving Birth to Something New,” it provides a space where Tokyo’s history and modernity coexist.
