50% Off Accommodations in Nagasaki Prefecture: “Kyushu Recovery Support Discount”—Bookings Open on September 15 at 10:00 a.m. on Jalan and Rakuten. Future Schedule to Be Announced

Nagasaki Prefecture has announced the details of the “Kyushu Recovery Support Discount” Nagasaki Campaign. Starting at 10:00 a.m. on September 15, reservations for stays with check-in dates from October 1 through check-out dates on December 1 will be accepted on Jalan.net and Rakuten Travel. Reservations for stays beginning on or after December 1 are scheduled to open in mid-November or later.

Under this program, guests can receive up to a 50% discount on room rates at participating hotels within the prefecture. The maximum discount is 20,000 yen per reservation per person for accommodation-only packages and accommodation packages that include transportation, and 30,000 yen for accommodation packages that include transportation for stays of two nights or more. A budget has been allocated for each sales channel, and reservations will close once the budget limit is reached.

Direct bookings with the accommodation facilities are scheduled to begin on September 28, while bookings through OTAs (online travel agencies) other than Jalan.net and Rakuten Travel, as well as through travel agencies, are scheduled to begin on September 30. Details will be announced on a dedicated website scheduled to launch on September 18.

Additionally, Nagasaki Prefecture has allocated 1,001,492,000 yen in project funding as part of its supplementary budget proposal for September of Reiwa 8, with the discount amount—913,430,000 yen, equivalent to 90 percent of the subsidy from the national government—serving as the source of funding.
