A Roundup of Merchandise Featuring the New “Disney Halloween” Character, the Scaredy-Ghost Girl. The Pumpkin Lantern Cap Is So Cute, Too!

Ahead of the “Disney Halloween” event (September 16–October 31), Tokyo Disney Resort released new merchandise on September 15.

In 2026, the series will feature a heartwarming story centered on the new character “Scaredy-Ghost” and her friendship with the tiny “Pumpkin Lantern,” who is also making her debut.

The lineup includes a secret-design plush charm (1,400 yen) as the flagship item, as well as a set that comes with a bag charm case (1,600 yen) and a clip-on plush toy (2,300 yen).

In addition, a range of accessories has been released, including headbands (2,600 yen), caps (3,600 yen), shoulder bags (3,400 yen), and glow-in-the-dark T-shirts (4,500 yen). This reporter also tried out a ghost-themed outfit inside the park.

These glow-in-the-dark T-shirts are made from a slightly thin, soft fabric that doesn’t feel stiff even when layered over sheer undershirts or collared shirts. It seems you need to shine a fairly bright light on them for them to glow in the dark, so I wasn’t actually able to see the effect myself.

When it comes to hats and headbands, my personal recommendation is the Kabo Lantern Cap (3,600 yen). Not only does it feature a lovely, autumnal corduroy fabric, but the back view—with the Kabo Lantern’s legs swaying gently—is so cute that it’s sure to look great in photos and videos!
