Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan, showcasing the charms of Central Asia, welcome you with a traditional costume show

“Tourism EXPO Japan 2026,” one of the world’s largest travel events, is being held at Tokyo Big Sight over four days, from September 24 to 27.

Kazakhstan is exhibiting as “Visit Almaty,” and Uzbekistan as the “Tourism Committee of Uzbekistan,” side by side in the Central Asia section of Hall 1 East. Almaty, in Kazakhstan, is the country’s largest city in the south. It is second in size only to Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan, and served as the capital of Kazakhstan until 1997, when the capital was moved to Astana.

Uzbekistan is exhibiting at the “Tourism Committee of Uzbekistan” booth in the Central Asia section of East Hall 1. At the booth, Uzbekistan Airways and various travel agencies have set up desks and are distributing brochures in Japanese. There will also be a show featuring dancers in traditional costumes this weekend.
