Katsuo-ji Temple, which is filled with Daruma dolls, is collaborating with Umaibo this year. You can also draw fortune slips there.

“Tourism EXPO Japan 2026,” one of the world’s largest travel events, is being held at Tokyo Big Sight for four days, from September 24 to 27.

At the booth for “Katsuo-ji Temple” in Minoh City, Osaka Prefecture, a giant Daruma greets visitors. This year, the temple is collaborating with Umaibo, distributing Umaibo sticks in original packaging. Additionally, the Umaibo mascot “Umaemon” will make an appearance every hour starting at 11:30 a.m. (*No appearance at 1:30 p.m.; on Sundays, appearances end at 4:30 p.m.).

At the booth, we’re holding a stamp rally where you collect multiple stamps. As you make your way through the rally, you can receive prizes such as Daruma-shaped balloons that you wear on your arm and dried plum candies. Once you’ve collected all the stamps, you’ll receive a bottle of lemon squash in an original package.

You can also draw a “64 Hexagram Daruma Fortune Slip” at the booth. This is a unique type of fortune slip that doesn’t indicate whether the outcome is good or bad; instead, you simply focus your mind on one thing you’d like to ask about before drawing it.
