“Tourism EXPO Japan 2026,” one of the world’s largest travel events, is being held at Tokyo Big Sight for four days, from September 24 to 27.
At the Hawaii Tourism Authority booth in East Hall 1, we’re teaming up with the “Hawaii Gourmet” food truck for the first time this year to showcase the charm of Hawaii and share the latest information, along with the delicious flavors of authentic local cuisine.
Of particular note is “L&L Hawaiian Barbecue,” a casual restaurant chain with 200 locations primarily in the U.S. mainland and Hawaii. Even at its two locations in Japan, the chain remains committed to the authentic flavors of the original, from recipes to preparation methods. Both the gravy sauce on the signature Loco Moco Lunch Plate (1,500 yen) and the BBQ sauce—the secret ingredient in the Spam rice balls (500 yen)—are made in-house.
In addition, “KING’S HAWAIIAN,” a well-known brand of Hawaiian sweet rolls—a staple in American households—will have a booth at the event. Known for their natural sweetness derived from ingredients like wheat, corn, and potatoes, as well as their fluffy texture, the rolls will be available in packs of 4 (540 yen) and 12 (1,404 yen), and free samples will also be offered.
In addition, there’s a generously topped acai bowl (1,200 yen) from the California-based acai maker “SAMBAZON,” as well as 100% handmade lemonade made with fresh fruit (M size: 620 yen) from “WOW WOW HAWAIIAN LEMONADES,” a brand originating from Maui—allowing you to enjoy menus from shops and brands that are rarely found in Japan.
