“Tourism EXPO Japan 2026,” one of the world’s largest travel events, is being held at Tokyo Big Sight for four days, from September 24 to 27.

This year, the Taiwan Tourism Bureau’s booth, themed “Experience Taiwan to the Fullest!,” is showcasing the diverse ways to enjoy Taiwan from early morning until late at night. Numerous tourism suppliers have traveled to Japan to promote Taiwan’s attractions and share the latest tourism information.

One of the highlights is an immersive experience area modeled after the locomotives of the Alishan Forest Railway. It showcases the unique charm of rail travel in Taiwan through realistic visuals, so be sure to check it out.

In addition, the event features traditional dances by the Taroko “Maribali Culture and Arts Troupe,” a tea ceremony where visitors can enjoy the aroma and flavor of Taiwanese tea, and a hands-on workshop on “igusa” (rush) weaving, a traditional craft of Miaoli.
