“Tourism EXPO Japan 2026,” one of the world’s largest travel events, is being held at Tokyo Big Sight for four days, from September 24 to 27.
At the “Wonderful Indonesia” booth in East Hall 2, eight companies and organizations—including travel service providers, airlines, destination management companies, lodging providers, and wellness tourism operators—are showcasing the diverse tourist destinations and experiences available throughout Indonesia.
Starting at 11:00 a.m. on September 27, there will be a performance of the traditional “Maumere Dance.” This dance originated in Maumere, East Nusa Tenggara Province, and is characterized by its energetic movements and rhythmic group performances.
In addition, if you scan the QR code and answer a short survey, you’ll receive a complimentary cup of “Temanggung Coffee” from Temanggung Regency in Central Java. Be sure to stop by the Indonesia booth and try this specialty coffee, which is a blend of 70% Robusta and 30% Arabica!
There’s also good news for those considering a trip to Indonesia. Garuda Indonesia, which operates daily direct flights from Japan to Indonesia (Narita to Bali, Haneda to Jakarta), is currently running a generous promotion through November 30: when you purchase a Garuda international flight ticket, you’ll receive a free round-trip ticket to one domestic destination. If you’re interested, be sure to stop by the booth and ask for more details.
