The Japan Air Self-Defense Force will hold the “Reiwa 8 Chitose City Air Show” at Chitose Air Base on September 6. The event will run from 8:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
In addition to demonstration flights by fighter jets and government aircraft, the Blue Impulse will take the stage from 1:10 p.m. to 1:50 p.m. to close out the event. The show, which is scheduled to last just over an hour, will begin with the walk-down (when the pilots board the aircraft) at 12:40 p.m.
Since there is no parking on the base, visitors are encouraged to use public transportation; this time, a free shuttle bus will run from the South Exit (east side) of JR Minami-Chitose Station. The shuttle will run intermittently between 8:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.
