Casually Experience Workshops Indoors We currently offer the following indoor workshop-style courses: the “Sendai Tansu Ornamental Fittings Workshop” and the “Plant-Dyeing Workshop.” The “Sendai Tansu Ornamental Fittings Workshop” is an experience where participants hammer in nails to attach the decorative fittings that are a symbol of Sendai Tansu. It is held at the Keyaki Sangyo Headquarters Showroom. Participants must be 12 years of age or older, and sessions are held for groups of 2 to 4 people. Reservations must be made at least seven days in advance, and registration closes once capacity is reached. The fee is 13,200 yen per person, and participants may take home the decorative panel they create. The “Plant Dyeing Workshop” is an easy-to-enjoy experience held inside the “YOKI MATSUSHIMA” hotel. As it is by reservation only and takes place in a private space, you can immerse yourself in the activity at your own pace. No materials are required—just show up and participate. Details such as the schedule are currently being finalized. This experience involves dyeing your chosen design using a dye solution carefully simmered from plants gathered in the surrounding nature. Since the dyeing process takes time, if your piece isn’t completed during your stay, it can be mailed to you.
