JR West Japan Real Estate Development and JR Kyushu will open the commercial facility “VIERRA Hakata Terrace” (4-38-10 Hakata-ekimae, Hakata Ward, Fukuoka City) on September 18 under the elevated tracks in the Chikushi Exit area of Hakata Station.
Through this first-ever joint development project between the two parties, the hourly parking lot they have been operating will be converted into a commercial facility housing restaurants and beauty salons.
The six participating restaurants include the second location of “Chatten,” a renowned seafood izakaya in Ohashi, Fukuoka; “Menya Kento,” a specialty tsukemen restaurant known for its ultra-rich, thick soup and generous use of ingredients; and “yellow Hakata,” famous for its double-cheese hamburger omelet rice.
In addition, JR West Japan Real Estate Development is rebranding “Hakata Katsui-dori,” a commercial facility it operates, and plans to open it as “VIERRA Hakata” in the spring of 2027.
