Maruzen Junkudo Bookstore is releasing collaboration merchandise featuring the “Suica Penguin” to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Junkudo Bookstore’s founding. Pre-sales will begin on July 29 at the “Maruzen Marunouchi Main Store” (Marunouchi Oazo, 1-6-4 Marunouchi, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo). Suica will also celebrate its 25th anniversary this November.
Featuring original Suica Penguin merchandise designed to resemble bookstore clerks from Maruzen and Junkudo, the lineup includes a total of 12 items across 7 categories—ranging from mascots to clear multi-purpose cases for everyday use.
