GENSEN HOLDINGS has renovated the “Oedo Onsen Monogatari Minoh Kanko Hotel” (1-1 Onsen-cho, Minoh City, Osaka Prefecture) into the upgraded “Oedo Onsen Monogatari Premium Minoh Kanko Hotel” and will open it simultaneously with the adjacent day-use hot spring facility, “Oedo Onsen Monogatari Minoh Onsen Spa Garden,” on October 1.
Minoo Onsen Spa Garden—which can be enjoyed even without an overnight stay—has introduced its biggest attraction: the “Mirai Human Washing Machine,” a cutting-edge bathing device developed by Science Co., Ltd. that garnered significant attention at the 2025 Osaka-Kansai World Expo. It will be offered as a private bath available by same-day reservation, with a limited number of guests per day. In addition, new facilities will be added, including a large kids’ park, a relaxation area with unlimited manga reading, and a quiet zone where guests can take a nap.
Meanwhile, the Minoh Kanko Hotel—the first Premium Series property to open in Osaka—is famous for its “Tenku no Tana-yu,” a sky-high open-air bath located at an elevation of approximately 180 meters that offers a panoramic view of the Osaka Plain. After check-in or after a soak, guests can enjoy cold draft beer and soft drinks at their leisure in the newly opened “Premium Lounge.”
Meals are served buffet-style, featuring Kansai specialties such as niku-sui, Akashi-yaki, and kayaku-gohan, as well as sirloin steak and tempura prepared right before your eyes. A new “Japanese-style bed” option has been added to the guest rooms, combining the comfort of tatami mats with the convenience of a bed.
The facility is located about a 5-minute walk from Hankyu Minoh Station. It is also recommended as a base for visiting the famous “Minoh Otaki” waterfall—selected as one of Japan’s Top 100 Waterfalls—and the “Satsukiyama Zoo,” where you can see wombats and other animals for free. Reservations can be made through the official website and other channels.
