Wani Books will release “1 Meter Long! Kibun’s Super! BIG Chikuwa Cushion BOOK” on November 30. The price is 6,500 yen. Pre-orders are being accepted on Amazon, and the book will gradually become available at other online and brick-and-mortar bookstores as well.
This is the second in a series of bonus books from Kibun Foods, following last fall’s “Kibun’s Nap-Time Chikuwa Cushion BOOK.” This time, it comes with an extra-large chikuwa cushion equivalent to about 100 of the company’s long-selling “Takebue” products. The cushion measures approximately 100 × 24 cm.
With its impressive bulk and fluffy, soft texture, it faithfully reproduces the golden “Kibun” brand stamp, and features a hole approximately 10 cm in diameter that’s large enough to slip your hand through. It can be used not only as a body pillow or cushion, but also as an armrest or a mini table.
The booklet features little-known facts about chikuwa and chikuwa recipes recommended by our employees.
