ANA will begin operating its specially designed “Chiikawa Jet” on domestic routes in late October. The aircraft in question is a Boeing 767-300 (registration number: JA609A).
The aircraft features illustrations of eight characters, including Chikawa, Hachiware, and Usagi, and is adorned with motifs such as autumn foliage and snowflakes—scenes seen throughout the four seasons across Japan—scattered around them.
In addition to limited-edition in-flight amenities, the headrest covers and cups used for beverages will also feature limited-edition designs (one design each).
In addition, as part of a joint promotion between the two, specially designed collaboration merchandise featuring the Chikawa characters wearing ANA uniforms is scheduled to be released. Details will be announced on the special website as soon as they are finalized, and illustrations of the eight characters wearing ANA uniforms have already been released.
