JR East’s Akita Business Headquarters will host “A Special Night on the Komachi at Akita Station,” an event in which the interior of an E6-series Shinkansen train parked on the platform at Akita Station will be opened to the public as a nighttime lounge area. The event will take place during the “Akita Kanto Festival,” from August 3 to 5, each night from 9:30 p.m. to around 7:00 a.m. the following morning.
On the day of the event, check-in will be available from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM (first session) and after 9:00 PM (second session) (last check-in at 11:30 PM), with boarding beginning at 9:30 PM. After that, you may remain on board until the event ends around 7:00 a.m. the following day; however, you will not be able to exit the vehicle between 12:30 a.m. and 5:30 a.m., as the doors will be locked.
In addition to distributing coupons redeemable at NewDays and bottles of mineral water to participants, we will also be giving away original merchandise from the Akita Business Headquarters.
