Ryugujo Spa Hotel Mikazuki (1 Kitahama-cho, Kisarazu City, Chiba Prefecture) will open one of the largest “infinity pools” in the Tokyo Bay Area in its spa wing on July 18.
The Spa Wing is the main facility open to day-use visitors, featuring a massive all-weather heated pool that can be enjoyed year-round, as well as a panoramic public bath, an open-air bath, entertainment and gaming areas, a relaxation zone, and dining options. It will become a new signature attraction, joining the existing outdoor pool, “Ocean Spa,” and the 250-meter-long lazy river, “Garden Pool,” which opens only during the summer.
Taking advantage of the hotel’s location facing Tokyo Bay, the infinity pool is 25 meters long. Right in front of it lies one of Japan’s largest tidal flats, which changes its appearance with the ebb and flow of the tides, offering a breathtaking view where the sky, the sea, and the water’s surface seem to merge into one. During the day, guests can enjoy the contrast between the blue sky and the sea, and at dusk, they can take in the breathtaking view of the sun setting over Tokyo Bay.
