Tokyo DisneySea’s “Coco” Halloween Event: Miguel Greetings Featuring Different Costumes for Day and Night!

Tokyo DisneySea will host “Lazos de la Familia,” a Halloween event themed after the movie “Coco,” from September 16 to November 2. This year, the event area in Lost River Delta will be expanded to feature decorations, limited-edition menu items, and character greetings.

The highlight is the greeting by Miguel, the movie’s protagonist. During the day, he appears dressed in the attire of the Land of the Living, and in the afternoon, he appears dressed in the attire of the Land of the Dead. The event takes place on the second floor of the DisneySea Transit Steamer Line boarding area.

In addition, the street show “Mariachi Lazos de la Familia,” which was a big hit last year, will be performed at various locations. Join the cheerful mariachis for an experience as exciting as a movie.

The special menu features the spicy tortilla cheese dog, making its debut at the restaurant “Miguel’s El Dorado Cantina.” In addition, “Yucatan Base Camp Grill” will be selling the Pan de Muerto (with orange), which was a hit last year.

Details regarding the limited-edition merchandise will be announced at a later date.

The special decorations feature “marigold colors,” believed to guide the souls of the departed, as well as motifs inspired by the traditional Mexican holiday “Day of the Dead” (Día de los Muertos). At night, the area is illuminated, creating an atmosphere reminiscent of a scene from a movie. In addition, visitors can immerse themselves in the film’s world through murals, photo spots, and other features throughout the venue.
