Sawayaka, a charcoal-grilled hamburger chain with locations throughout Shizuoka Prefecture, opened its new restaurant, “Charcoal-Grilled Restaurant Sawayaka Markイズ Shizuoka,” on July 10.
The store is located on the 3rd floor of “MARK IS Shizuoka” (1026 Yuzuki, Aoi Ward, Shizuoka City, Shizuoka Prefecture), a shopping complex a 3-minute walk from the North Exit of JR Higashi-Shizuoka Station. It is the station immediately following JR Shizuoka Station—a Shinkansen stop—on the Tokaido Main Line. Replacing the “Shin-Shizuoka Senoba Store,” which closed on May 13, it is now the store closest to Shizuoka Station.
The new location has introduced a “smartphone check-in and ticket issuance” system, allowing customers to get in line via their smartphones as long as they are within a 15-kilometer radius of the store. The restaurant has 74 seats and is open from 10:45 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. (last order at 8:00 p.m.; opens at 10:30 a.m. on weekends and holidays). Same-day ticket issuance begins at the storefront at 10:00 a.m. and via smartphone at 9:30 a.m.
You can enjoy a wide variety of dishes, including the signature “Genkotsu Hamburger Steak” (250g, 1,540 yen), as well as steak sets, grilled vegetable curry, and shaved ice made with Shizuoka matcha.
