Workman will begin stocking its “WindCore ICE×HEATER Peltier Vest” series—cooling apparel equipped with Peltier semiconductors—on June 26. The products will be available at 1,104 stores nationwide, including specialty stores for workwear and outdoor gear, #WorkmanGirls stores, and Workman Colors stores.
Designed for extreme environments with temperatures as high as 45°C, this vest-style garment features cooling plates that begin to cool within about one second of being turned on, achieving a cooling effect that lowers the wearer’s body temperature by up to approximately 30°C relative to the ambient temperature. In addition to preventing heatstroke in professional settings such as construction sites, it is also recommended for general consumers during daily outdoor activities such as commuting to work or school, going for walks, and gardening.
Two models will be available for sale: the “PRO3” (19,800 yen), which features cooling plates in five locations, and the higher-end “7-Plate Special Edition” (29,800 yen), which features cooling plates in a total of seven locations, including the neck area.
