Matsudo City, Chiba Prefecture, will hold the “Matsudo Fireworks Festival 2026” on August 1. The venue is the Furugasaki Riverside Sports Plaza (2441 Furugasaki, Matsudo City, Chiba Prefecture), and the fireworks will be launched from 7:15 p.m. to 8:20 p.m. The event will be canceled in the event of inclement weather (with no rescheduling).

General ticket sales for the paid viewing area have begun via the special website (CN Play Guide) or by phone (CN Play Guide Call Center), with prices ranging from 3,000 to 4,000 yen per person depending on location. Attendees will sit on approximately 1 m² sheets laid out on the slope. Photographer seats (1.5 m² spaces on level ground), which offer a clear, head-on view of the fireworks for photography, cost 10,000 yen per person. The venue opens at 4:00 PM on the day of the event, and visitors can also enjoy food from food trucks set up in the paid seating area.

This year’s festival will feature 12,000 fireworks—2,000 more than last year. Attendees can enjoy spectacular displays, including No. 5 fireworks and star mines, which are among the largest in the surrounding cities.
