“Sarugakyo Hotel” Has Been Renovated, Featuring Guest Rooms with Views of Lake Akaya and Rooms with Open-Air Baths Fed by Natural Hot Spring Water

Itoen Hotels will reopen the “Sarugakyo Hotel” (1171 Sarugakyo Onsen, Minakami-machi, Tone-gun, Gunma Prefecture) in Sarugakyo Onsen, Minakami-machi, Gunma Prefecture, on July 25. Room rates start at 9,680 yen per person, including one night’s stay and two meals. Reservations will be accepted online starting July 1 and by phone starting July 10.

This hotel boasts an abundant flow of hot spring water—over 600 liters per minute—and offers a direct-flow experience of the “Kyōyū-sen Yushima” spring, the source that forms the foundation of Sarugakyo Onsen. The open-air bath, surrounded by nature, is bordered by large rocks.

From the guest rooms, guests can enjoy views of the majestic Lake Akaya and the lush natural surroundings. We offer a total of 52 rooms to suit a variety of needs, including rooms with open-air baths where guests can enjoy the hot springs in private, as well as traditional Japanese-style rooms and Japanese-style bedrooms.

Meals are served in a “half-buffet” style, allowing guests to enjoy our signature “creative Japanese set meal” as well as as much of their favorite dishes as they like. In addition, unlimited alcoholic beverages are available with dinner at no extra charge.

In addition, the accommodation fee includes various services, such as entertainment facilities like karaoke and table tennis, as well as welcome drinks, allowing guests to enjoy them all day long at no extra charge.

To celebrate our grand reopening, we are holding a campaign to treat guests staying during the promotional period to a special dinner. In addition to our regular creative Japanese set meal, we will provide “grilled eel” free of charge. The promotional period runs from July 25 to August 31.
