Reservations for general parking at the Blue Impulse & Komatsushima Port Festival are now open on a special website. Akippa will manage the parking to help alleviate congestion.

Akippa, a company that operates a parking space-sharing service, will manage the official paid parking lot for the “Komatsushima Port Festival 2026,” to be held on July 19 in Komatsushima City, Tokushima Prefecture, as well as for the demonstration flight by the Japan Air Self-Defense Force’s Blue Impulse. Parking reservations have been open on a special website since June 16. Fees range from 2,000 to 5,000 yen, depending on the location.

In addition to the annual fireworks display, which features approximately 2,500 fireworks, a Blue Impulse aerial display is scheduled this year to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the city’s establishment. Since attendance is expected to exceed previous years, the prefecture is urging visitors to use public transportation and to spread out while watching the show.

For visitors arriving by car, Akippa will take over the management of certain parking lots that previously operated on an advance reservation basis—which had been handled independently by event organizers—and will provide comprehensive support, from the reservation system to on-site assistance, with the aim of reducing the burden on organizers and alleviating traffic congestion in the surrounding area.
