[Hands-On Review] Osmo Pocket 4P Coming Soon: We Tried It Out at DJI’s Headquarters in China

On June 9, I visited DJI’s global headquarters, “DJI Sky City,” in Shenzhen, China. Travel Watch just published a review of the palm-sized gimbal camera “Osmo Pocket 4” in April, but surprisingly, the “Osmo Pocket 4P” is also scheduled to be released soon. The 4P is a higher-end model than the 4, and the actual unit was unveiled at DJI headquarters. Although I’m a beginner at vlogging, I had the opportunity to try it out on-site, so I’d like to share my first impressions with those who aren’t serious videographers but want to shoot higher-quality videos with controls as simple as a smartphone.

A Quick Recap of the Osmo Pocket 4P Specs Here’s a brief summary of the currently available information about the Osmo Pocket 4P, tailored for beginners: Product Design: It features two side-by-side lenses and significantly improved zoom capabilities

17-stop dynamic range: From the dazzling scenery outside the window to the facial expressions of people inside the room in backlight, you can capture everything without blown-out highlights or crushed shadows

D-Log2: Allows you to adjust the color tones of your footage more dynamically than on a smartphone (for creators)

1-inch CMOS sensor: By capturing more light, it delivers clear, grain-free footage even when shooting food in dimly lit restaurants or nightscapes.
