RETOWN will open a food stall area in early August at “Yodogawa Tsutsumi Market Minamo Juso,” located on the riverbank near Juso Station in Osaka.
As a new symbol of the Juso area, which is undergoing redevelopment, the project aims to serve as a hub for fostering community interaction through food. It will attract local restaurants—primarily from Osaka City and Osaka Prefecture—and operate as a mini-food park that showcases Japan’s street food culture to nearby residents and the expected increase in international visitors.
In August, the first phase will see the opening of 22 stalls offering sushi, yakitori, oden, izakaya fare, ramen, and café food. Seven more stalls will be added later, eventually expanding the area to feature up to 29 food stalls lined up side by side. Furthermore, this area is located near the launch site for the “38th Naniwa Yodogawa Fireworks Festival,” scheduled for October, offering unobstructed, prime viewing seats.
