A Disney Special Parade is Coming to Rikuzentakata City! “Iwate Prefecture’s 150th Anniversary Parade” to Be Held on November 8

Tokyo Disney Resort has announced new locations for the “Tokyo Disney Resort Special Parade,” in which its characters participate in festivals across the country.

The latest addition is the “Iwate Prefectural Government’s 150th Anniversary Parade,” to be held on November 8 in Rikuzentakata City, Iwate Prefecture. The event will take place on Symbol Road in Rikuzentakata City, Iwate Prefecture, though the start time has not yet been determined. Disney characters will make an appearance to the upbeat music of “Jamboree Mickey!” and join local children in livening up the parade.

In addition, the Duffy Bus will be on display that same day. The event is scheduled to take place in the parking lot in front of the Miracle Pine Hall from 10:00 a.m. to around 4:00 p.m. A vehicle featuring the “Duffy & Friends: Find Your Beautiful Blue!” design—created to commemorate the “Tokyo DisneySea 25th Anniversary ‘Sparkling Jubilee’” currently underway at the park—will be on display. Visitors can touch the vehicle’s body, made of the same soft, fluffy fabric as Duffy’s plush toy, and take commemorative photos.
