NEXCO West Japan and NEXCO Central Japan announced on June 3 that a wide area of expressways in their jurisdiction may be closed due to Typhoon No. 6.
The Shin-Meishin Expressway (E1A) is expected to be closed from early morning on March 3, and vehicles heading toward Nagoya are urged to consider a wide-area detour using the Meishin Expressway (E1) and other routes.
The Tomei Expressway (E1), the New Tomei Expressway (E1A), and the Chuo Expressway (E19) are also expected to be closed at the same time around noon on January 3, so travelers are urged to refrain from unnecessary and undue travel east of Nagoya. Even if you have no choice but to travel, we urge you to change your travel time.
The road closure may expand depending on future weather conditions, so please check the latest weather and traffic information before leaving your home.
