The Omagari Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Daisen City in Akita Prefecture will hold the “Omagari Fireworks (98th National Fireworks Competition)” on August 29.
The National Fireworks Competition is Japan’s premier fireworks display competition in which 28 companies selected from all over the country compete with each other to display their best fireworks. The daytime fireworks display (5:10 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.) and the nighttime fireworks display (7:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.) will each feature a spectacular program. About 18,000 fireworks will be launched.
The Omagari Fireworks Park (Omagari Omonogawa River, Daisen City, Akita Prefecture), the venue for the event, has a variety of paid spectator seating, including platinum pair seats (70,000 yen for two people), photographer seats (13,000-25,000 yen per person), and leisure seat seats (15,000 yen for four people), some of which are popular and sell out immediately.
Tickets for the general public will be sold through playguides (Lawson Ticket, E-Plus) and directly at Hicario Plaza by the Omagari Chamber of Commerce and Industry, both on a first-come, first-served basis.
