Ichinoyu (located at 940-2 Sengokuhara, Hakone-machi, Ashigarashimo-gun, Kanagawa Prefecture) will begin offering a “Beginner’s Plan” for overnight stays in vehicles. The program will run from June 10 to September 30 (tentative), with rates starting at 5,500 yen per vehicle per night.
This plan was launched in 2021 during the COVID-19 pandemic but was temporarily suspended once the situation stabilized. In response to requests for its resumption received since then, we are relaunching this car-camping plan—which includes hot springs and restroom facilities—in the Sengokuhara area of Hakone, where there has historically been a lack of infrastructure allowing visitors to park their cars and spend the night with ease.
We are starting by accepting one vehicle per day on weekdays. In addition to 24-hour access to restrooms and a microwave, guests can use the large hot spring bath—which normally costs 1,400 yen—as many times as they like within the allotted time. Rather than charging per person like a traditional inn or hotel, rates are set per vehicle, starting at 5,500 yen per vehicle.
They also offer a wide range of paid services, including portable power station rentals for 1,100 yen, free drinks in the lobby for 1,100 yen per person, and, depending on availability, overnight stays in a room or use of the sauna.
